Fire Up Your Inner Drive

Fire Up Your Inner Drive

It happens to all of us. One day we just wake up lacking the energy to do anything. Not wanting to get out of bed, not wanting to stay in it either. That's a normal phenomenon   one can expect that occasionally in life. What is not normal, though, is getting entangled with lack of energy, lack of drive, lack of motivation. What is not normal is to continuously talk yourself into the passive "act" of not doing anything. But what do you do when all the drive inside of you seems purged out? Maybe you can begin with the following recommendations.

Break the routineLive gets boring wen you do the same thing over and over again. If you want to see people that aren't as driven as they should be, take some time and observe some of your colleagues and go to your community and see how many people are standing by the corners and loitering around. When you're doing the same thing every day, sooner or later, the energy that you oncehad will drain out. No matter how passionate you were with your work, project, or goal when you were just beginning, you will suffer from lack of motivation once your body senses that it is doing the same thing day in, day out. Stop work for a full day. Stop doing your routine for a week. Take a month‑long vacation (for those of you who can afford it!). Take on a new hobby for a while ‑ especially one that has little or no direct relation to your work. These changes in routine can often help energize you and rekindle your drive. And while you'retaking your break from your routine, don't lose faith that you will have the same kind of energy you once had by the time you get back to work.

Don't lose sight of your goals  It is easy to lose your focus when there is too much distraction around.Whether it's the kids, clutter at your work area, Twitter, television or Facebook, you will find that these simple things remind you of other things that can draw your concentration away from the task at hand. To prevent yourself from undoing your own motivation, always tryto stick with your goals and shut out whatever it is that is chipping away at it.

MIND POWER

MIND POWER

People are all over the place looking for a key to succeed, guess what?
The key to your success is in your brain.

The ability to:-
*out-think
*out-learn
*out-create

This is where they key is hidden!

If you think you have VALUE, you are correct you do have value
If you think you are SUCCESSFUL,
Yes you are successful
If you think you are STUPID, you are very right, you are stupid
If you think you will never amount to ANYTHING in life, you are on point, you will never be!

Your life will be a result of what you think.

A negative mind produces a negative life
A positive mind produces a positive life

Purpose

For a long time, I knew I had a desire to help people. Through my journey, I have experienced good and bad. There is nothing I would want to erase from my experiences, they have added to what I have bocome.

We often find ourselves stuck in our past hurts and that delays our growth. We cry over what happened, what should have happened and why is it not happening.

When I started writing, I was very disturbed by the things that were happening in my relationship. My employer had a wellness competition for the best article themed “Love Yourself” I entered that competition and I won two tickets to Mangwanani Spa.

From that moment writing became a lifestyle. I am sure you will ask yourself, why I am sharing this with you, it’s because “I am encouraging you to find your purpose and to live in it”. It does not mean I am a finished product, I am in my journey.

Workplaces: hospitals, government departments are packed with people who are unfulfilled, you know why? They are misaligned. My friend, "do something you love and you'll never work a day in your life”.

I had a prayer I prayed and still praying to this day. “If you can use anything Lord, use me” Help me find my purpose. When good and bad things are happening in my life, I believe it is aligned to my purpose. It comes only to add to my life  lessons and  help me to grow. I believe purpose is in everything we are, do and say. When we put our core values into play through how we make our choices, that’s purpose.

This is a challenge to all of us: “Live a purpose driven life” We are all in our journey, there is more that God has deposited in us and it must be unleashed. Let the giants be awakened!

"A Better You" ‑ Your’ Seven‑Day Program to Self‑Improvement

"A Better You" ‑ Your’ Seven‑Day Program to Self‑Improvement

There are many ways to lose your sense of self‑esteem, even temporarily over trivial matters. But whatever happens, we should all try not to lose our own sense of self.

Here are some of the things you can think about and improve on.

1. Know your purpose
Are you wandering through life with little direction ‑ hoping that you'll find happiness, health, and prosperity? Identify your life purpose or mission statement and you will have your
own unique compass that will lead you to your true north every time.

2. Know your values
What do you value most? Make a list of your top five values. Some examples are security, freedom, family, spiritual development and learning. As you set your goals for this year, check your goals against your values. If the goal doesn't align with any of your top five values ‑ you may want to reconsider it or revise it.

3. Know your needs
Unmet needs can keep you from living authentically. Take care of yourself. Do you have a need to be acknowledged, to be right, to be in control, to be loved? There are so many people who lived their lives without realizing their dreams and most of them end up being stressed or even depressed for that matter. List your top four needs and get them met before it's too late!

4. Know your passions
You know who you are and what you truly enjoy in life. Obstacles like doubt and lack of enthusiasm will only hinder you, but will not derail your chance to become the person you ought to be. Express yourself and honor the people who have inspired you to become the very person you wanted to be.

5. Live from the inside out
Increase your awareness of your inner wisdom by regularly reflecting in silence. Breathe deeply to quiet your distracted mind. Try sitting in a warmly lit room and playing some classical music.

6. Honor your strengths
What special talents do you have? List three ‑ if you get stuck, ask those closest to you to help
identify these. Are you imaginative, witty, good with your hands? Find ways to express your authentic self through your strengths. You can increase your self‑confidence when you can share what you know to others.

7. Serve others
When you live authentically, you may find that you develop an interconnected sense of being. When you are true to who you are, living your purpose and giving of your talents to the world
around you, you give back in service what you came to share with others ‑ your spirit ‑ your essence. The rewards for sharing your gift with those close to you is indeed rewarding, much more if it were to be the eyes of a stranger who can appreciate what you have done for them.

Self‑improvement is indeed one type of work that is worth it, shouldn’t always be within the confines of an office building, or maybe in the four corners of your own room. The difference lies within ourselves and how much we want to change for the better.

Your mind is your biggest asset

Our minds can work for us and with us to help us reach our goals. Once we unlock the keys our minds hold we have the opportunity to do the following:

·       Learn to override the fears of failure and not being good enough. To let go of social phobias and the hold of limiting beliefs.
·       Discover talents and gifts we were given and how we can develop them.
·       Learn how to spot new opportunities to develop personal growth and learn new skills.
·       Develop a sense of purpose and direction. Learn the value of your life in this world and what a difference your new life can make.
·       Become someone who loves to face a challenge and then meet it, and overcome it. You will discover the fun in conquering the mountains of challenge in your life and not taking he status quo as an acceptable standard anymore.
·       Learn the benefits of a balanced life where your physical, emotional, spiritual and financial health lives in harmony with each other and you feel fulfilled and satisfied with your life.
By investing in time to unlock your own potential, you have the opportunity to discover all that you were created to be. Part of that is identifying what your purpose is. To do that you need to first look at what makes you feel passionate.

A life lived with passion is a life lived fully.

@ the appointed time

Reflecting back to the time when we were young. We grew up with our cousins, we would play together, walk to school together, we would stand in a queue for juice/bread/fruit or hair cut. When we had a trip at school, we would all stand in a queue waiting for the bus to take us to our destination. Some have missed the opportunity of being/sitting with their friends in the bus because it was full and they had to cut the line and take you to another bus. This reminds me of the time I went to book for my learners license, we all know the situation there, I moved from one chair to another patiently grinding my teeth not knowing on which position should I sit due to tiredness. As I was about to go in that room for eye test I got cut. I never got angry as compared to when I was young. I now understand that everything happen at the right time.

When we were young myself and my cousins we all had dreams some came true and others not yet. What do we do? We keep on pushing. A mistake we make as people is to put ourselves under pressure by wanting everything to happen now.

Looking at what is happening in the world today we all don't have time to wait. Very few matriculants want to go to school full time, they opt for correspondence but come weekend they are parting their heads off. What happened to sacrifice? Some are in jail because they never wanted to work and earn a living. Some did abortion because they were not ready to be mothers. We have those who are crying their lungs out because they want a child now and it is not yet time. There is a handsome gentleman who is in a wrong marriage because he never took his time to know her.

The earlier we take time in doing certain thing the better. Everything happens @ the appointed time.

Lets take right decisions at the right time we will reap the benefits fresh from our creator!

There is No Try, Only Do!

There is No Try, Only Do!

We often think of failure as the inability to accomplish a certain objective. We give it our best shot and the results are less than favourable. We’ve failed. Ah, but does that have to be the end of the story? ONLY if we stop trying after we experience the less than favourable results.

Do yourself a favour and change your definition of failure right now. Here is a new definition of failure:

Not having a plan, not working a plan, and giving up too soon.
In the history of achievers, there was an attempt to do it again and again. If you have “failed” at anything in the past, be honest with yourself: How many times did you try? Did you give it a heartfelt effort and then give up when it seemed too hard? Did you let yourself become intimidated by challenge, or disempowered by negative comments from friends and colleagues?

Though you may believe that it was out of your hands, it is important to understand something.

You made a choice to fail

You gave up. You stopped trying. It doesn’t matter what the reason were, even though they may have seemed perfectly logical at the time. The fact is, you allowed external conditions erode your motivation and determination, and you threw in a towel.
If you made the choice to fail, you can also make a choice to succeed

With the right attitude, focused action steps and a solemn vow to never give up, success will be yours. Don’t approach your goals with an attitude of “try” only an attitude of DO!

“Trying” means you are not going to give it your all. “Doing” means that failure is not an option.

This is your life and you must decide that there is no going back, no giving up, no giving in – NO MATTER WHAT!

Create a Life You Love by Changing

The power of change lies in all of us.At the same time, though, striking out in a new direction is a very scary thing. Most people find it more comfortable to stay in the same routine, simply because it is familiar.

You don't have to stay trapped in the same old routine.
Unexpected changes happen in everyone's life and it is up to you to decide whether you will accept or embrace these changes as being new challenges or think of them as roadblocks thrown up in your life. You have the power to decide how you will view things - the power to change your perspective and approach.

We can learn a lot from setbacks that we face. They are
opportunities for learning. And we will appreciate success more
fully when it comes because there were some bumps in the road,
and we grew because of them.
